Solidarity Harvest still has Volunteer Openings

Some have said they haven’t seen volunteer ops for Solidarity Harvest. Volunteers are still needed. We ask people to volunteer with their own personal close group–bubble. All work will be OUTSIDE and you will work only with those in your personal group. Wear mask and dress warmly.  See the link below to volunteer. Also we still need about $300 in donations for sponsor-a-meal.

If you’ve already signed up for some shifts at this year’s Solidarity Harvest, thank you so much! We’re looking forward to having you be a part of this year’s effort. If you haven’t signed up yet, no worries! There’s still plenty of availability in our volunteer schedule. Click here to fill out our volunteer sign up form!

While we’ve got just about everything in place to pull this year’s harvest off, we need a few critical items:

  • Wheelbarrows for moving produce at the hall.
  • Tarps & Rope to cover and tie down boxes/produce – it can get pretty windy up there!
  • Blankets! We need to keep the veggies from freezing.

If you have any of these items and are willing to donate them, let us know! We’re hoping to get all of these items by Saturday morning at the latest.

We also still have a ways to go on our fundraising – click here to Sponsor a Meal! Or you can mail a check to Food AND Medicine, 20 Ivers Street, Brewer ME 04412.

Thank you so much again for contributing, this wouldn’t be possible without all of you!

In solidarity,

Sumner Bright
