Transportation for All will meet Thursday April 18 @ 9AM – 11AM at Peace & Justice Center, 96 Harlow St., Suite 100, Bangor. Child friendly and light refreshments served. TFA Meets monthly, the third Thursday at this time and location.
Childcare & Jobs. This is the legislative season in Maine. There are new bills to read and consider so it is an important time for those interested in improving access to quality childcare for better jobs and to streamline regulations for both childcare providers and those seeking childcare. The Childcare team needs members to investigate bills, talk to citizens, connect with legislators, and help develop a plan of action.The next meeting will be Wednesday, April 10 @ 6PM at United Methodist Church, Essex Street, Bangor.
The second annual Week of the Young Child event is coming Saturday, April 27 at the Children’s Museum, Bangor. There are still volunteer opportunities for this event. Speak to Mary Ann Perry for a volunteer form.
Food Access Committee meets this Thursday, April 11 from 11-1:00 at UMaine, Augusta, Bangor campus. Peg Olson has details of location.
Earth Day special event is April 2 from 1:00-3:30 in Pickering Square in downtown Bangor. Join Transportation for All for a free fun afternoon of earth and kid friendly activities, live entertainment, environmental education and much more. Our Gardening Group plans to participate. Faith Linking in Action Spring Convening will be Thursday, May 2 at Hammond Street Congregational Church. Here what all the groups are doing. The theme will be sharing your faith experiences and journey as you work with FLIA on community issues. Pot Luck supper begins at 5PM and the meeting starts at 6:15.

Artful Spirit Connection is hosting an Art N’ Play on Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 10 am to 12 noon. Please join us as we experiment with watercolor paints and learn a few beginner techniques: basic washes, wax resist, splattering, salt texture and alcohol spritzing. Paula Baines will facilitate the session. Come learn, play and experiment. Supplies will be provided. Cash donations towards kids’ art kits are welcome.
