What’s Happening at the Wilson Center, Orono

SUNDAY (today) – Real Conversation – 4:00-5:00pm over Zoom

At this week’s Real Conversation we’ll use this article from the Atlantic as a discussion prompt (https://www.theatlantic.com/family/archive/2020/10/people-who-prioritize-friendship-over-romance/616779/) and embark on an open conversation about friendship and intimacy. Where will that lead us? Let’s find out!

THURSDAY – Talking Together About Race and Privilege – 7:00-8:30pm over Zoom

Join us for the fourth and final installment in a series on race and privilege facillitated by Dennis Chinoy. Drop in participation is welcome. RSVP to wilsoncenterorono@gmail.com if you would like to attend!

LOOKING AHEAD

As the weather gets colder, we are taking a break from regular outdoor Wednesday evening programs. Instead, we will be taking time to regroup and look ahead toward building more topical events and series that can be held over Zoom this winter and spring, similar to the successful “Talking Together About Race and Privilege” series. If you have an idea for something you’d especially like to learn about (or help to facilitate!) please be in touch with Sonja (sonja.birthisel@maine.edu) or Anna (anna.godsey@maine.edu). Any topic that relates to faith, spirituality, ethics, etc. is welcome. We look forward to hearing from you.

Stay tuned for another email this week about how to get plugged into to a newly forming student interfaith group.

A friendly reminder to vote on Tuesday, all who are eligible.

Love and blessings,

The Wilson Center
