Growing in God's Love as an Open, Caring Community

Vestry Meets Thursday, September 21 at 6 pm

We will have a lot on the agenda at our September 21, 2017 meeting. We will meet at 6 pm.

We will have a presentation from the Living Local Guiding team,  future of Sunday School. Please contact the Rev. Rick if you cannot attend.

Here is a note from the Living Local Guiding Team:

The Guiding Team of Living Local will be presenting at our Vestry meeting on Thursday. Before the meeting, would you please watch the short video below (13 minutes), which helped me in my understanding of what’s happening within churches. Please see attachment with this e-mail…Conversations with Neighbors. This was the white paper found in the middle of our Harvest Gathering luncheon. We would like everyone to come with questions and comments and your input from the Harvest Gathering is very important to us.

The normal response of the church is seeing a need and acting to resolve the need the way the church perceives it should be resolved. God calls us to do that.

Luke 10 leads us to wonder where God is already at work, and how we might join God by coming together with our neighbors. We will be asking:

  • What might God be up to in the neighborhoods where we live?
  • How do we discover where God is already at work?
  • Where might God want us to join with other people in what God is already doing?

Thank you from the Guiding Team members:  MaryAnn, Peg, Pat, Jane and Tom, our coach.
